Description Jacek Kalinski 2005-11-16 10:46:12 UTC
Hello,

1. When I set syslog to 0 (turn off logging) in smb.conf, all audit modules: audit, extd_audit and full_audit still write a lot of messages (unneeded) to syslog.
For samba logs I have a special folder (specified in 'log file' parameter) and it would be nice, to put there audit logs.

2. Is there a chanse to add to smb.conf configurable syslog facility and priority? It will solve my problem (in point 1), because I will redirect logs to /dev/null...

Is it possible to add this improvement?
Jack

This should already be fixed. See the release notes
for 3.0.21pre1.

Deryck, can you confirm?
