Hi all,
sorry to make so annoying, but this problem i have to solve it.
I wondered if it is the correct place to discuss this problem, but let me
explain my problem first.
I have 10 Windows XP Home client, and want to print to printers on linux samba
server. I use security = user in order to enforce file security, but i don't
need such security measures, so i put guest ok = yes in printer section.
But the problem is, when I try to print to these printers, some machines (not
all) find problem with printing to this server, it seems like the printer is
not online, and queued locally in the Windows. This problem can be reproduced
by printing to any printers from any windows pc without any login.
Unless I delete that printer in Windows XP and re-install it, I cannot print
anything. Am I putting this in a wrong place? Any help will me pleased....
Many thanks!

This is by design with Windows file and print serving.
If a user has not logged on, then she will have no credentials
to connect to the printer on the server.
You best bet is to create a virtual server (or standalone
second server) that allows guest access. See the 'map to guest'
option in smb.conf(5).

Cleaning up versions. There was no 3.0.15 so leaving it in bugzilla
is causing some confusion. Moving these nuder 3.0.20.
