Description Jason Hoover 2005-05-23 20:39:13 UTC
Samba is not mangling filenames with control files.

For example, in a small mixed OS X/Windows 2000 enviroment I run, filenames like:

/home/pete/profile/Desktop/Adobe Photoshop Elements 2/._Icon^M

(^M being anthing from \n000 - \n031 | \n127 )

Will cause the loading of roaming profiles to choke with "Cannot copy" "Cannot
Access" and any other unhappy-sounding errors windows feels like producing that
morning.

Please forgive me if this is a duplicate or already fixed.

I also apologize if major is not appropriate for it, but there's no easy
transparent administrative end workaround.

If more information is required, just ask.

This has brought up several bugs w.r.t. the mangling code. I'm in the
process of fixing them. Thanks !
Jeremy.

sorry for the same, cleaning up the database to prevent unecessary reopens of bugs.
