Description saxman29 2005-04-14 18:21:22 UTC
I'm using SuSE 9.2 with a vanilla 2.6.11 kernel that has experimental cifs
features enabled (so I can access the mounts from KDE). The mounts are fully
functional, but after two days the mounts go extinct and the browser/command
line just hangs. Then, when rebooting the mounts don't unmount and I have to
cut the power to get it to restart. How can I keep the mounts from doing this?

Just recently, about half a day after I had rebooted the computer the shares
decided to unmount in the middle of some work I was doing. There was data
streaming over the connection and I was browsing when it suddenly went dead.
Then everything hung. I couldn't kill the session and ended up cutting the
power to reboot. I had switched the OS level from 2 to 65 so the other computer
wouldn't reset the connection. Do you know if this helps?
