Description jclinux 2005-03-16 07:56:26 UTC
Hi,

I had a problem with SAMBA 3.0.7, Mandrake LINUX 10.1. My custumer had 60
workstations under W2K professional SP4, and ONE W98. In all W2K, for same times
some files disappear , I look in LINUX and the files are there, but in all
Workstations simply invisible.

My testparm -v

> testparm -v

Comment 1 jclinux 2005-03-19 19:11:51 UTC
Hi ALL,

After some tests, I just update the Samba 3.0.7 to 3.0.10 in Mandrake Linux
10.1, and the problem was solved.
In version 3.0.7, before making the update, I changed the parameter "MAX
PROTOCOL" to LANMAN2, the default is NT1, and the archives had appeared, but
the user profiles and logons had stoped. I downdate the Samba to version
2.2.7 , and the problem had desappered, but much problems happens in network.
It was then that I decided to make update, it was my last option, and thanks
to God it solved the problem.

sorry for the same, cleaning up the database to prevent unecessary reopens of bugs.
