Description Claus Rosenberger 2005-01-21 01:06:10 UTC
samba is running as a PDC and is configured to use ldap to store the user
accounts. the usernames are looking like "name.surname@domain.tl". all is
working well but the users cannot change the password from the windows clients.
with the username syntax "surname" instead of "name.surname@domain.tl" it's
working well.

perhaps it's because samba is working like a NT4 domain controller.

not currently supported in Samba 3.0.x
Comment 2 Claus Rosenberger 2005-02-01 23:47:11 UTC
what's exactly not supported in samba. the username syntax or changing the
password from windows?

username syntax. Although I would need to see a level 10 debug
log from smbd to verify thatmy memory is correct.
