Description Ralf Brunckhorst 2004-12-04 12:12:47 UTC
Since samba-3.0.6 we have problems with our print-server. In samba-3.0.5
everything is fine.
We have not changed our env and our printer-installation procedure.
With the new version (3.0.8 and also 3.0.9) it si not possible to change the
default settings for the printer as printeradmin from a w2k-client.
The button in the advanced-tab field is not enabled.
Without this function we cannot upgrade.

can you view the security tab from the printer
properties dialog? It could be a corrupted security
descriptor.

I have created a new machine-pw (join again to domain) now it works.
But now it seems that there is an add. problem. When using my account (I'm in
the printer-admin group) everything now it's fine. But when using another
special account ( the account maps to my real id via 'username map', the one
that works) it dosn't work anymore. With the old version (3.0.5) there was no
problem. Any idea?
/Ralf

please test 3.0.11 when it is released tomorrow. There have been
a lot of printing fixes in this code.
