On an Irix 6.5.23f host, I've seen the following infrequently,

SYSLOG:Oct 11 23:00:58 4A:arwen unix: WARNING: oplock 0xa80000000ca63400: timed out
SYSLOG:Oct 28 05:38:15 4A:arwen unix: WARNING: oplock 0xa80000004e87b500: timed out

I don't yet know what it means - but in case Samba isn't doing something right with regard to Irix 
oplocks I wanted to report this.

Yeh, I've dug around this area in the past. It's usually (always?) a
transient network glitch. I wouldn't be too concerned unless it happens
all the time.
