Description Matthias Schuendehuette 2004-09-27 03:11:43 UTC
If I acces a share on an samba-server (ADS-security, -member) with the Address
"\\<WINS-Name>\<Share>", my Windows Useraccount comes as "<Domainname>\<Username>".

If I access the same share with the address "\\<DNS-Name | IP-Address>\<Share>",
my Windows Username comes only as "<Username>" without the prepended domain.

This is annoying for username mapping. I have to maintain two(!) lines for every
single Windows Account to map this account to the according unix account.

This is not a show stopper but perhaps not intended that way...

Ciao/BSD - Matthias
