Description Alain RICHARD 2004-09-23 06:47:47 UTC
[root@julie root]# pdbedit -x -u myuser
ldapsam_delete_entry: Could not delete attributes for
uid=myuser,ou=web,ou=People,dc=equation,dc=fr, error: Constraint violation (modifyTimestamp: no
user modification allowed)
Unable to delete user webuser
[root@julie root]# rpm -q samba
samba-3.0.7-2.FC2
[root@julie root]#

It seams that pdbedit tries to remove the modifyTimestamp attribute. This is a constraint violation with
current openldap servers (2.1.29). It seams that problem was already corrected in 3.0.3 version but was
probably reintroduced after 3.0.5.

This has been fixed recently in Subversion. Could you either give SAMBA_3_0 from
subversion a try, or wait for 3.0.8 (out rather soon)?

Please reopen if you think the bug is not yet resolved.

sorry for the same, cleaning up the database to prevent unecessary reopens of bugs.
