Jerry Carter pointed out on the mailing list that plaintext is not a password
backend. However, HOWTO lists plaintext among password backends (see the URL). I
think it should be removed.

Attempt to clarify this has been made in the docs. If anyone believes it is
still confusing please re-open this report. For now, I am closing it.
