People who use CVS to maintain a local copy of samba will notice that by default "cvs import" will ignore the examples/autofs/auto.a file because the `.a' suffix is in the default cvs ignore list. There is a workaround (cvs -I\!), but it strikes me as unnecessary given that `.a' is traditionally used as the extension for (library) archives, so I recommend renaming this example file in the samba distribution.
renamed to auto.smb
sorry for the same, cleaning up the database to prevent unecessary reopens of bugs.
