Description Vinicius Bones Silva 2004-07-30 13:22:42 UTC
With samba 3.0.x the use of quotes in the parameter logon path, like in:

logon path = "\\server\profiles\%U"

Makes windows 2000 return an error stating that it could not create/locate the
user profile, probably because the path or syntax is incorrect. Removing the
quotes and the profile is created/used correctly.

I´m writting this one just to ask you to update the smb.conf man page
accordingly.
If it matters, I´m using samba 3.0.4 with openldap, aided by smbldap-tools.

I have added a note to the man page entry altering users to this pitfall. Thanks.
