Description Steve Langasek 2003-05-31 14:11:42 UTC
Matthew Swift <swift@alum.mit.edu> reports that, when using Netscape 4.77 as his
browser, the SWAT from 3.0alpha24 gives him a set of unpopulated config fields,
and committing changes via SWAT also results in many config options being set to
incorrect empty values (as opposed to default values) in smb.conf. Speculation
is that this is a bug in Netscape 4.77, which was known to pre-fill form fields
with a single space character instead of leaving the fields blank. Bug filed
here at jht's request.

Someone either do something with this or close it out
as not our bug. Thanks.
Comment 2 Dave Fenwick 2003-08-04 17:50:18 UTC
Netscape build 4.77 had a reported bug in the algorithm for forms using the
POST method in HTTP. Recommend updating their web browser.

originally reported against 3.0aph24. Bugzilla spring cleaning.
Removing old alpha versions.
