Description Gerald (Jerry) Carter (dead mail address) 2004-05-11 09:01:20 UTC
even if the account already exists and the search returns it, net
ads join forces you to pass the ou in on the command line in an
awkward syntax.  For example....

net ads join .... "america,ou=clients"

Jerry, would you mind checking if r2353 (in trunk only for now) fixes that ?

With the fix I could easily rejoin a client with an existing machine-account
located in
ou=level1,ou=level0,dc=w2k3test,dc=sernet,dc=de with

a) net ads join, and
b) net ads join level0/level1

If it works for you as well, I'm going to put that into 3_0.

This was only an issue with trunk until recently. Works fine now. Closing this bug.

sorry for the same, cleaning up the database to prevent unecessary reopens of bugs.
