When "printing = cups" is set it's not possible to send a printer to a script 
using "print command = script %s".  All printing goes to cups.

When "printing = bsd" is set "print command = script %s" goes to the script ok.

sorry for the same, cleaning up the database to prevent unecessary reopens of bugs.
