The comand "net rpc group members testgroup" resulted in
  cli_pipe: return critical error. Error was Call timed out: server did not resp
ond after 10000 milliseconds

The command works with samba-3.0.1
The passdb backend is ldapsam_compat

You will need to use ldapsam to get group support in Samba 3.0.

database cleanup
