We have a production environment with lots of small files going on and off the server. The server is stand alone (No AD) and has a single local user account which everybody uses to access the files. Users have 2 or more pc's to use and have occasionally reported a delay of up to 10mins when creating or moving a folder on one PC and seeing the changes happen on the other PC. One user decided to create the same folder name on the PC exhibiting the delay which the system allowed but ended up not being able to delete that folder as it was in some way locked out.

I'm getting reports this only happens occasionally at the moment.
