Feature enhancement request: =============================== classicupgrade for tdbsam/smbpasswd backends should read a "group" file, placed in the dbdir, for importing groups. This idea was brought up by Andrew at the mailing list as response to the new classicupgrade HowTo: http://www.spinics.net/lists/samba/msg116094.html Use case: ============ If the classicupgrade is done on a new server, the file /etc/group has not to be temporary replaced, to read groups and members, if a 'group' file could be alternatively read from the dbdir.
