Description Joseph Brown 2014-04-24 14:39:29 UTC
Haven't figured a rhyme or reason, but *some* print jobs vanish when spooled thru samba.

2k3 server spooling thru samba, 2 out of ten jobs may vanish.

Opened up cups:631 and spool directly to cups, jobs no-longer vanish.

It's often easy enough to re-spool the job, I suppose, but this is not acceptable.

I expect this bug may be a duplicate of bug 10808. The background print process fails to pull newly submitted print jobs from the CUPS queue, and as a result removes them from the local spoolss queue.

The bug appears to be due to a CUPS regression. I'll add further details and a patch to 10808.
