Description John Simmonds (overfuse) (550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound; not found) 2009-08-04 18:54:06 UTC
Most wbinfo parmeters seems to work including "-n", "-s", "-S", "-Y", "-U","-G".

The two parameters that won't work are:
# wbinfo -i jprsimmo
Could not get info for jprsimmo

# wbinfo -r jprsimmo

Note: "-r" above produced no output, als "jprsimmo" is my username, "CEMS" is the domain and STORAGE is the NETBIOS name of clustered Samba Server (ctdb).

See atttached level 10 logs...

The config used was:

[global]
        # Windows Domain Information
        security = ADS
        workgroup = CEMS
        realm = CEMS.UWE.AC.UK
        netbios name = STORAGE
        local master = No
        passdb backend = tdbsam

        clustering = yes

        idmap backend = tdb2
        groupdb config : backend = tdb
        idmap uid = 1000000-1999999
        idmap gid = 1000000-1999999
        idmap config CEMS : backend = nss
        idmap config CEMS : range = 1000-999999

        winbind nested groups = Yes
        winbind use default domain = Yes

        log level = 10

Meant to say log.wb-CEMS

Also the following did not get any new entries while running the command so I have not attached then:
log.wb-BUILTIN
log.wb-STORAGE
log.winbindd-dc-connect
Comment 7 John Simmonds (overfuse) (550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound; not found) 2009-08-04 20:04:50 UTC
Just in case its not clear, the logs are what was added to the logs while I ran "wbinfo -i jprsimmo".

Account Name: CEMS\jprsimmo
SID: S-1-5-21-1957994488-1500820517-839522115-18790
UID: 3415

Group Name: CEMS\Domain Users
SID: S-1-5-21-1957994488-1500820517-839522115-513
GID: Could not convert sid S-1-5-21-1957994488-1500820517-839522115-513 to gid

Thanks for the repport.
Going to look into this soon...
Comment 9 John Simmonds (overfuse) (550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound; not found) 2009-08-11 08:06:56 UTC
Got further interesting symptons:

# net groupmap list verbose ntgroup="Domain Admins"
Domain Admins
	SID       : S-1-5-21-1957994488-1500820517-839522115-512
	Unix gid  : 0
	Unix group: root
	Group type: Domain Group
	Comment   : Domain Unix group

But yet this command will fail:

# wbinfo -Y S-1-5-21-1957994488-1500820517-839522115-512
Could not convert sid S-1-5-21-1957994488-1500820517-839522115-512 to gid
