Something changed in 3.0.25 that has broken Dfs.  We map shares with,
  \\arwen\Dfs\Homes\user

Here's an example with logging level 3,

[2007/05/24 09:43:07, 3] smbd/msdfs.c:(623)
  get_referred_path: |Homes| in dfs path \arwen\Homes is not a dfs root.

3.0.25 changed the default of the option "msdfs root" from "yes" to "no". I'm closing this as invalid, assuming that an explicit "msdfs root = yes" in your share definition helps. If not, please re-open.
