Description Alexander 'Leo' Bergolth 2007-02-14 06:09:27 UTC
After upgrade from 3.0.22, smbd crashes when connecting from a windows client.

The samba-server is a member of a windows-domain, the pdc is a linux-server
still running samba-3.0.22. Account information and passwords are stored in an
LDAP directory.
The server that crashes should be a member of the domain. (At least "net rpc
join -S SAMBA" tells "Joined domain RK_KLBG.")

The relevant parts of the log file with debug level 10 (smbd-startup.log and smbd-crash.log) and the config-file are available at

Additional info:
Domain Name: RK_KLBG
Domain Member server (the one that crashes): MONSTER

[root@monster ~]# net getlocalsid
SID for domain MONSTER is: S-1-5-21-264317539-4085856039-3162983169
[root@monster ~]# net getlocalsid RK_KLBG
SID for domain RK_KLBG is: S-1-5-21-181998944-1107627502-2274996074

This is the same bug as Bug# 4049 (reported for 3.0.23a and c).

Please tell me if additional info is needed.
I'd appreciate any help,
