The Samba-Bugzilla – Bug 3961
Microsoft Office 2002/XP errors while saving documents to a samba share
Last modified: 2006-07-28 08:48:26 UTC
I have 2 servers. The first server contained samba with samba shares. For differents problem, I migrated samba and its shares of the first server to the second server.
First Server: Red Hat Enterprise 3, Samba 3.0.0 (old one)
Second Server: Red Hat Enterprise 4, Samba 3.0.10 upgraded to 3.0.22 (new one)
I don't use any ACL and I'm in share mode. My problem is only on Microsoft Office 2002/XP/2007 documents. If I open one, I can't save as or save on a samba share.
The error is that I don't have permissions or the disk is full. But all is allright. With others applications it works fine. There is more 30 Go free on the shares.
I really not understand the problem. I tried to search where it could comes and I find those things:
But nothings works for me. Have you got any ideas ?
I encounter that the problem appears with other software like WinZip :-(. When I want to create a zip file from files on my PC to a share, I have this error message:
Could not replace the zip file in ...
The probleme seems to be when a file has to be replaced. Is it true ?
Please help me
