Description M. D. Parker (dead mail address) 2006-01-25 11:19:48 UTC
When I look at an smbstatus list, in 3.0.21a, there are many more entries, lots of apparent duplication of entries with different times however. Worse yet, I see entries with PIDs that are not listed in the top two sections of the smbstatus listing.

Conjecture is that the file locking table management is somehow having minor problems, maybe its just keeping the on-disk table clean. This issues does not seem severe at all as nobody has reported file access issues (of course I have all OPLOCKS turned off).

Not an issue at 3.0.20b....smbclient listings are basically more clean and smaller.

This was broken in 3.0.21a and b due to display of "placeholders" in the share modes tdb. This has been fixed in the current svn code and will be fixed for 3.0.22.
Thanks,
Jeremy.
