Description Noël Köthe 2005-10-17 14:39:45 UTC
Hello,

a forwarded bug:

I think it was the "user" that was ignored, and not the "password":

There is a bug in WfWg that has relevance to this setting.
When in user or server level security a WfWg client will totally ignore
the password you type in the "connect drive" dialog box. This makes it very
difficult (if not impossible) to connect to a Samba ser- vice as anyone
except the user that you are logged into WfWg as.
--8<--

So the samba-doc diff would be:
--- smbdotconf/security/security.xml.orig       2005-10-17 23:38:37.000000000 +0200
+++ smbdotconf/security/security.xml    2005-10-17 23:39:12.000000000 +0200

Added "username and" to the existing text because it is not possible to over-ride the currently logged in connection credentials.
