Description Noël Köthe 2005-10-06 14:20:28 UTC
Hello,

Please add following to the smb.conf(1) manual page section. It would
be good if "ALL" and "0.0.0.0/0" were mentioned.

       hosts deny (S)
The opposite of hosts allow - hosts listed here are NOT per-
mitted access to services unless the specific services have
their own lists to override this one. Where the lists con-
+ flict, the allow list takes precedence. If you want to
+ deny all by default, use keyword ALL or netmask 0.0.0.0/0
+ and then explicitly allow hosts with "hosts allow".

Default: hosts deny = # none (i.e., no hosts specifically
              excluded)

              Example: hosts deny = 150.203.4. badhost.mynet.edu.au

thx.
