Description Paul Eggleton 2003-07-17 18:17:17 UTC
(This is actually a beta3 bug, but there's no option for this yet.)

I installed from the source RPM for 3.0 beta 3 on Red Hat 9 (adding --with-acl-
support to the specfile, rebuilding with rpmbuild -bb and then installing).

Once installed, I tried to start winbind with "service winbind start", and got
the following error:

Starting Winbind services: grep: /usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf: No such file or
directory

The culprit is the CONFIG variable in the /etc/init.d/winbind script, which is
set as follows:

CONFIG=/usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf

This is despite the configure option --with-configdir=/etc/samba being
specified in the spec file for the RPM.
