Description saxman29 2005-02-13 13:32:20 UTC
I'm running a SuSE 9.2 box and most stuff runs just fine.
When the computer starts up, some Windows xp shares that are listed in smbfstab
are mounted by samba mount and work fine. I can do everything that I want with
them. But after non-use, the mounted shares somehow disconnect and when I try
to access them, konqueror just hangs and usually freezes up. Then I have to
force quit. On a few lucky occasions, after 3-5 minutes, 1 or 2 of the mounted
folders finally shows up, but the rest are gone. Is there any way to keep the
winodows shares mounted so I can use them any time that I want?

we don't maintain the smbfs code. Sorry. You should talk to the
kernel developers or talk to the SuSE. If this is a libsmbclient
issue with KDE, please see if you can follow up with the KDE
developers first.
