Description Paulus 2004-11-16 05:34:36 UTC
Hallo,

I have installed (the binairies) v3.0.5 on HPUX 11i and the smbd (& nmbd) will
not start when I press on the button [Start smbd] on the status page.
When I use the startscript "/../samba start" they wil start !
But only when a added "SHLIB_PATH=/usr/lib" into the script.

question: where can I put SHLIB_PATH for the button ?

Regards,
Paul E.

HP-UX question. Not Samba. Sorry. Don't have that information available.

It seems to me that you misunderstood me.
I have no problem with HP-US startscript, thats working.
Wat not working is, is the web interface "S.W.A.T."
On the web interfase (http://<sysname>:901) there is "Status page"
on that page, there is a button [Start smbd] and [Restart smbd].
But when I press one of these buttons nothing will happend.
Is there a logfile ? where I can see wat is going wrong or .. ??

Regards,
Paul E.
