Description Markus Mitsch 2018-04-29 16:49:04 UTC
i setup a file server and created a user whos group has wrx access to the files. i can delete them, overwrite them, open them... but not modify(would be easier than copying the files, editing them and copy them back). client is a windows machine. if i look at the properties of the files from windows, i can see that i have read, write and execute permissions. but not modify.
in smb.conf file i tried to set the "acl map full control" option to yes. but that has no effect. that option should map rwx access to "Full Control" on the windows side.
