Description frame86 2014-01-06 17:01:08 UTC
We find out that the first run of Thunderbird try to auto config via DNS/LDAP and samba gets unresponsive for other tasks. On other clients Windows starts the search of the resource and on the corresponding client eg. the home share shows offline for few minutes.

In the meanwhile Thunderbird does not respond also. It looks like a dead lock on both sides.

There is maybe a misconfiguration in our network but this must not happen at all.

Could you get me a network capture of this happening please? (http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Capture_Packets)

is this still happening with Samba 4.3 ? If yes, can you start wireshark and sniff the traffic at that point?
